dc.description.abstract在這研究案中我們提出並建構完成一種針對蛋白質結構字元集之通用性設計架構。此架構是以模組設計為基礎,其中之系統元件可以方便更改或取代以增加整個系統的彈性與實用性。它是兩階段的處理方式,在第一階段,先將蛋白質結構轉成結構字元序列,接著在第二階段,利用序列模組偵測工具搜尋共通的結構字元模組。我們根據SCOP建構蛋白質結構字元模組的資料庫,它提供了蛋白質結構的相關資訊,例如結構字元模組、3D結構呈現、結構字元出現頻率等。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractIn this project, we have proposed and developed a general framework for structural motif discovery. The framework is based on a modular design in which the system components can be modified or replaced independently to increase its applicability to various studies. It is a two-stage approach that first converts protein 3D structures into structural alphabet sequences, and then applies a sequence motif-finding tool to these sequences to detect conserved motifs. We built the structural motif database, which provides the structural information conserved at different hierarchical levels in SCOP. For each motif, it presents its 3D view; alphabet letter preference; alphabet letter frequency distribution; and the significance.en_US
