| dc.description.abstract | We investigated electro-optical effects in a homeotropic-aligned ferroelectric liquid crystal film. Hysteresis was observed in this cell. The width of the hysteresis could be suppressed by appropriate adjustment of external parameters in the experiment and the unwinding electric Geld could be reduced by rubbing of the substrate.
