dc.description.abstract本計畫係上一年度計畫(95WFA0600456 藝用色彩內容分析與資訊視覺化-技術與應用 (I))的延續工作。這系列計畫的的研究目的在於建立一套可執行色彩分析、色彩資訊 視覺化及影像色彩編輯的系統,此系統可廣泛應用於視覺設計、視覺藝術、環境與景 觀設計、電影與攝影等等與大量使用彩色影像作為媒介的領域。這套系統的色彩運算 原則根據於蒐集大量受試者的色彩視覺資料,我們也花費許多人力將這些資料發展為 相當易於一般電腦使用者操作的介面,可直接應用於上述彩色影像相關領域。此系統 的工具包括(1)色彩剖析工具(Color Profiler):功能為抽取影像中的關鍵色彩特徵值, 客觀抓取彩色影像予人的整體色彩印象。(2)色相彩度顯示工具(Hue/Saturation Mapper): 功能為將彩色影像轉為色相或飽和度分佈地圖。(3)色彩編輯器(Color Editor): 為一結合色彩資訊視覺化與色彩編輯功能的工具,而以此為介面的色彩編輯 功能則可大幅提高設計師實驗配色的效率。上一年度我們完成了三個工具的初步原 型,目前正執行一系列的色彩視覺實驗,針對第一和第二個工具的效度進行檢驗。本 年度的工作重點除了繼續以更完整的視覺實驗資料校正三套工具之外,會著手以C++ 將實驗用的原型工具開發為便於使用的應用軟體,並據以進行更多色彩分析之應用研 究工作。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractThis proposal is a continuum of our current project (95WFA0600456 Color information analysis and visualization--In Art-related domains (II)). The aim of this study is to promote a different way of thinking and communication about color by providing a set of color analysis/ color information visualization/color editing tools. The toolbox contains (1) Color Profiler: a tool for extracting critical color statistics from an image. These critical color statistics are found to represent our global impressions about colors in that image very well. (2) Hue/Saturation Mapper: performs a transform to turn an image to a hue/saturation distribution map. Such maps are very useful for revealing the painting skills and color usage behind a painting. (3) Color Editor: a software that combines an innovative way for visualizing colors in images and an efficient way to edit colors. We would also like to apply our tools to a broad range of topics including the color analysis of visual design, paintings, photography, films, and landscape designs. In this year we have completed the prototypes of each tool and are now testing their validity by visual experiments. For the second year, we will be doing more calibrations of these tools. Once all parameters are obtained, the prototypes will be re-coded in C++ to finalize the formal version. More art/design studies calling for color content analysis will also be carried out as we proceed. It is our belief that our tools create huge number of possibilities in color studies across all design/visual art fields.en_US
