摘要: | 隨著世界潮流與趨勢的改變,臺灣開始重視文化創意產業的發展。2008年的《海角七號》創下了臺幣5億3,000萬元的票房,顯示消費者對國片重新燃起熱情,也象徵多年來萎靡不振的國片市場復甦。「電影產業」被認為是推動文化創意產業的火車頭,無論是政府或民間企業都看好此產業之無限商機與影響力,國片復甦使電影產業開始有外部資金投入,國片也逐漸走向商業化,如:2010年的《艋舺》、2011年的《賽德克巴萊》、2012年的《陣頭》等,然而,由於臺灣創投業者對於電影產業尚未有充足的投資經驗,評估項目與評估標準皆未成形,故本研究以臺灣電影產業為主,藉由文獻整理並透過訪談實際投資過電影之創投業者,歸納出電影投資之關鍵成功因素。
本研究融合眾多學者對企業創投的分類模式,根據電影產業狀況的相關文獻,同時考慮創投的立場與投資邏輯,採「企業創投投資目的」、「投資標的來源」及「資金投入時點」三構面,形成最終的分類模式。透過多重個案研究(Multiple Case Research)訪談三家有國片投資經驗的企業創投,將其分類。
研究結果發現:A公司與C公司皆屬於「早期投資-外部案源-財務型」的企業創投,無法利用本研究之架構進行歸類;B公司屬於「早期投資-外部案源-策略型」之企業創投,屬於Type Ⅰ-機會創造型。值得注意的是:A公司在投資評估的過程中,其實包含許多策略性考量,應歸類為Type Ⅰ-機會創造型,然由於A公司最終以「財務性目的」認定投資案成敗,因此仍將其歸類為「早期投資-外部案源-財務型」。總結訪談結果,電影投資的關鍵成功因素為:(一)檔期;(二)成本控管;(三)策略性夥伴;(四)市場(海外市場映演權);(五)電影製作團隊。 This study is investigate the key successful factors (KSF) of the venture capital (VC) on their investment in the film industry. Through the literature review, I create VC categorization model, according to the investment purposes, source of the investment, and the timing when the capital invested in. Then, interviewing with experts who had experiences of investing film-making the KSF. This research shows that: Company A and Company C are both finance-oriented VCs who always invest films, which are outside sourced, in the early stage. These two companies can’t categorized by the model I create. Since Company A has much more strategic considerations in the process of evaluating film investments, they finally use financial indicators the only KPI. Otherwise, it can be categorized in Type I – Opportunity-create VC which is the same as Company B. Company B is strategy-orisnted VC who always invest films, which are outside sourced, in the early stage. Five key successful factors were found: movie release date, balance between cost (buget) and benefit (box-office), other strategic investors, market especially China and other foregin countries, and the filmmaking team. |
