dc.description.abstract美劇在臺灣的播映脈絡,主要可分為兩大時期:一九六〇至一九九〇年代的「電視播映時代」及一九九〇年代之後的「網路播映時代」。美劇在臺灣的這四十多年變遷,供應面歷經電視臺美劇播映總時數大於自製節目時數;和其他外國電視劇之市場競爭失利,如港劇、日劇及韓劇的播映時數大於美劇;最後到由視頻和影音資源網站分享及播映的過程。在接收面,美劇流通狀況以及接收管道的變遷,也因此造就出不同時代的美劇迷。本研究企圖了解這群美劇迷的樣貌、特徵和實踐,以及他們在接收環境變遷的過程中,展現出怎樣的時代差異與跨時代迷群實踐。 本研究透過既有的文獻、報章雜誌及深度訪談這群「跨時代的美劇迷」得到研究結果,亦即美劇在臺灣的播映的確受到媒介科技及市場面的影響,而這也促使「跨時代的美劇迷」出現追劇行為的變遷,如曾有中斷期或同時接收其他外國電視劇。但跨時代美劇迷共享的則是皆在美劇網路播映時代展現最濃厚的迷群特徵,共同透過網路進行個人及群體之美劇迷群實踐,像是透過瘋狂追劇,觀看美國即時播映的美劇、美劇同人文創作、參與海外影友會、建立美劇網路社群等。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractThe broadcast development of American Television series in Taiwan can be divided into two eras: “The Television Era from 1960s to 1990s” and “The Internet Era after 1990s”. The forty years of this broadcast transformation has been through several stages such as the broadcast hours were drastically higher than Taiwanese-made TV series; the lose of the competition of the TV series market with Hong Kong, Japanese and Korean TV ones and into the final stages as being broadcast by on-line streaming website and being shared via peer-to-peer file sharing websites. On the other hand, this kind of broadcast transformation also created different generations of Taiwanese Fans of American Television series. The goal of this study is not only try to understand the overall appearances, characteristics and the practices of these fans but also want to probe what the generation differences are and how cross-generation of Taiwanese Fans of American Television series perform fan practices together. By examining previous literature, news, the articles of magazines and conducting in-depth interviews with these cross-generation fans, this research finally acquired the result of this study-that is the broadcast of American TV series in Taiwan has indeed influenced by the transformation of media technology and the market of TV series in Taiwan. This phenomenon also resulted in the changes of the ways these cross-generation fans pursuing American TV series. For instances, some of them had once stopped their reception of American TV series or some of them were receiving other foreign TV series at the same time. Nevertheless, these fans shared one fundamental characteristic-they both show their strongest fan enthusiasm toward American TV series in the Internet Era after 1990s. They performed their fan practices through the Internet such as binge-watching, following the latest American TV series, creating fan-fiction, attending international fan community and creating Internet social forum of Taiwanese American TV series.en_US
