摘要: 配向技術一直是面板廠中一道重要的製程,透過配向製程可以使液晶有規律的排列,以達到液晶配向排列的目的。配向技術又可分為接觸式配向(Contact Alignment)與非接觸式配向(Non-Contact Alignment)兩種技術,隨著面板尺寸越做越大,接觸式配向容易產生微塵、應力與配向不均等問題,而造成良率下降,因此目前大尺寸面板逐漸以非接觸式配向技術取代接觸式配向技術。 隨著市場大尺寸面板需求逐漸上升,非接觸式配向製程的產能越顯重要,然而此製程參數的設定大多仍是憑著主觀經驗。因此,本論文主要目的是針對非接觸式配向技術的聚合物安定化配向(Polymer-Stabilized Alignment, PSA)製程,利用反應曲面法中之中央合成設計(Central Composite Design, CCD)方式,找到PSA製程參數之最佳設定值。 本論文以台灣某面板廠提供之PSA製程實際案例,驗證了本研究方法確實有效可行。
Alignment technology is generally considered as one of the important procedure in the panel manufacturing companies. It can make the liquid crystal arranged regularly to achieve the goal of liquid crystal alignment. The Alignment technique can be divided into two panels contact and non-contact alignment techniques. As the size of panel increases, the contact alignment method is frequently found to cause problems, such as the particle, inequality in stress dis-tribution, uniformity of alignment and so on, which may decrease the yield rate. Consequently, the method of large-size panel is gradually replaced by non- contact alignment technique. As the rising demand of the large-size panel market, the capacity of non-contact alignment procedure has become increasingly important. Thus, this study focus on the Polymer-Stabilized Alignment (PSA) process, one of the non-contact alignment techniques, and determines the optimal parameter design by using one of the experi-mental design for constructing response surface: central composite design(CCD). Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated using a real case from a Taiwanese panel manufacturer.
