dc.description.abstractThis work presents a novel wavelength conversion scheme, differential cross-polarization modulation (DXPoM), using an extra birefringence delay to enhance the performance of the conventional cross-polarization modulation. Simulation and experimental results confirm that the predicted performance is enhanced. Using the proposed scheme improves rise time by over 300 %, reduces timing jitter by 50 %, and increases extinction ratio by 9 %.en_US
