摘要: | 隨著互動式高清影音和圖像服務的需求不斷增長,推動了無線通訊高速的發展。然而,目前無線通訊的傳輸量僅能提供數百Mbps受限於有限的頻寬。毫米波通訊具有更大的頻寬可以提供數Gbps的傳輸量,如V波段(57-64GHz)、W波段(75-110GHz)和太赫茲波段,都吸引了大量的關注。然而,較高頻率的訊號導致嚴重傳播損耗。因此,光載微波訊號系統(RoF system)提供較低的傳播損耗與較低廉的系統成本是一個可行的架構。
在本文中,我們將提出三種光載微波訊號系統(RoF system),包括傳統的和簡化的混頻器降頻系統,功率檢測器降頻系統。此外,我們將採用Volterra非線性補償去探討這些提倡的載微波訊號系統(RoF system)的非線性效應。 The increasing demand of interactive high-definition video and image services has driven wireless communication to provide multi-Gbps transmission. However, the data rate of the current wireless communication is limited to hundreds of Mbps which are hampered by limited spectra. Recently, the millimeter waves (MMW) with larger bandwidths, such as V-band (57-64GHz), W-band (75-110GHz) and THz-band, have attracted a lot of attention to provide multi-Gbps services. However, higher frequency signals would lead a higher propagation loss. Therefore, the radio-over-fiber (RoF) system with low propagation loss with optical fiber is a promising candidate to extend wireless coverage and reduce the system cost. In this thesis, we will propose three types of RoF applications including conventional and simplified Mixer down-conversion system, power detector down-conversion system. Additionally, we will employ Volterra nonlinear compensation to investigate the nonlinearity effect in these proposed RoF systems and result in a tremendous system performance improvement. |
