IGD was defined and suggested investigating through standard criteria proposed by DSM-5. The symptoms of IGD include preoccupation with online activity, withdrawal, tolerance, and escape or relief from a negative mood. Some studies and scales considered that emotion was one feature or assessment of internet addiction (IA). Emotion brings psychological and physiological information of IGD. This study aimed to investigate emotional responses of IGD. Fifty college subjects in Taiwan were recruited and participated in an emotional induced experiment. IGD gamers reported different emotional intensity and expressed different autonomic nervous activity (from HRV) than non-IGD gamers when watching online game films.
