Characteristics of a 40 GHz asynchronous harmonic mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser

Abstract

A 40 GHz asynchronous harmonic mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser is demonstrated for the first time. Long-term stability is achieved through low-frequency electronic feedback and the impact of modulation depth on allowable detuning range is investigated.
