dc.description.abstract | In a conventional wireless communication system, Radio Link Protocol (RLP) is designed to provide wireline-like transmission performance by reducing the over-the-air errors. In high-speed transmission, because the performance will be more sensitive to the delay as the speed increase, the RLP re-transmission delay could potentially become a problem. To resolve the problem, the MAC-layer retransmission is considered. In this paper, we will evaluate the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/ Radio Link Protocol (RLP)/Medium Access Control (MAC) performance based on cdma2000 MAC retransmission protocol for different transmission rates. | en_US |
