The trend of digital freeform and the awareness of environmental issues have propelled architecture to a higher level by comprehensively merging new technologies and green concepts. These observations suggest that we need a new structure for understanding the design process that integrates digital technology and the sustainable concept. Instead of dealing with micro issues, the question is whether it should be more concerned with the comprehensive fusion of a new design processes and the overall interactions of digital technology and sustainability thinking. This could elevate the design process from a disconnected level to a more general and comprehensive level.en_US
