Decoupling control of pickup head motion in near-field optical disk drives

Abstract

For the flying pickup head in near-field optical disk drives, this study attaches a piezoelectric bender to the pickup head and develops a single-input multi-output control method to deal with the bender motion in both bending deflection and longitudinal displacement.
