摘要: Haptoglobin(Hp)是一種急性期血清蛋白質,可以清除溶血所釋放出來的游離血紅素(hemoglobin)。Hp蛋白主要由肝和肺合成,在發炎或感染時濃度會增加好幾倍。已有文獻指出,在顆粒性白血球(granulocyte)分化時也會合成Hp,儲存在特殊顆粒小球裡,然後當嗜中性白血球(neutrophils)被活化時會將Hp釋放出來。而眾所皆知地,在運動期間,血漿中的白血球會顯著性地大量增加。這個實驗主要的目的就是探討透過運動過程中,Hp是否會被誘導合成而使濃度增加。12位大學運動員分別實行耐力運動(慢跑60分鐘)和瞬間爆發運動(百米衝刺跑步)。利用三明治式酵素連結免疫吸附分析法(Sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,Sandwich ELISA)測試其運動前後血漿中Hp的濃度。結果顯示,Hp濃度在瞬間爆發百米衝刺運動中呈現顯著性的增加,但在60分鐘的耐力慢跑中並無明顯地改變。這項研究說明了體內血漿中Hp的濃度會隨著不同的運動型態而改變。另一方面,因為Hp也是一種抗發炎的蛋白分子,所以推論,在某些特定形式的運動下,Hp的表現可能和對抗發炎、增強免疫力有關。
Haptoglobin (Hp) is an acute phase protein that scavenges hemoglobin (Hb) released from hemolysis. The protein is primarily synthesized by lung and liver. Its level increases several fold during inflammation and infection is also synthesized during granulocyte differentiation, stored in specific granules, and released by neutrophils in response to activation. During exercise, number of leukocytes in plasma increase significantly. The aim of this study was to determine whether the Hp concentration can be induced via exercise. For this reason, 12 male international-class athletes were examined during endurance exercise (jogging for 60 min) and explosive exercise (maximal running for 100 m). Using fasting blood samples and sandwich ELISA, the levels of Hp before and after exercise were determined. We show that Hp levels were remarkably increased after explosive 100-meter running in some of the athletes, but not in subjects with 60-min jogging. The data suggest that Hp is an acute phase protein responding to exercise, but depends the type of exercise. Because Hp is an anti-inflammatory molecule, it may be relevant in preventing against inflammation in patients practicing some type of exercise.
