Effect of the Alumina Content on the Interfacial Reactions between Titanium and Calcia/Zirconia/Alumina Composites

摘要: 本研究将不同体积之氧化铝粉末,掺杂于等体积比的氧化锆/氧化钙粉末中,并以1300°C/30MPa/30分钟的条件热压成复合材料后,将复合材料与Cp-Ti在1600°C下进行介面反应,并以x光绕射仪(XRD)和Rietveld-method对复合材料进行相鉴定和定量分析,以及扫描式电子显微镜(SEM/EDS)观察复合材料及介面微观结构。从研究结果发现随着氧化铝添加量增加,依序出现了锆酸钙(CaZrO3)、立方晶体氧化锆(c-ZrO2)、铝酸钙 (CaAl2O4)及二铝酸钙(CaAl4O7)等相;在复合材料样品中,锆酸钙的比例随着氧化铝含量的增加而降低,立方晶体氧化锆比例反而增加。其原因为氧化铝较容易与氧化钙反应形成铝酸钙,使得生成锆酸钙所需之氧化钙含量不足,遗留了大量氧化锆。此外,由XRD和SEM/EDS结果指出,随着锆酸钙比例降低,在复合材料与Cp-Ti的介面反应越发剧烈。氧化铝在复合材料及高温扩散介面中扮演重要的角色,当氧化铝添加量低于10 vol%.时,锆酸钙成为复合材料的主要相并且能抑制介面反应。
The samples with various contents of Al2O3 were hot pressed with the same volume ratio CaO/ZrO2 at 1300°C/30 MPa for 30 min and then reacted with Cp-Ti at 1600°C/30 min. The as-hot pressed specimens were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and the interfacial microstructures were observed by analytical scanning electron microscopy (SEM/EDS). The XRD spectra indicated that there existed CaZrO3, c-ZrO2, CaAl2O4 and CaAl4O7 phases. In addition, the amount of CaZrO3 phase was decreased with increasing Al2O3, but that of c-ZrO2 was in the opposite manner. According to SEM observations, there were less reaction layers in the sample with high CaZrO3 content than in others. The XRD and SEM/EDS results showed that Al2O3 played an important role in the processing of composites and the reactions between composites and titanium. When the amount of Al2O3 in the composites was below 10 vol.%, CaZrO3 became the major phase and it could suppress the diffusion of oxygen to titanium.
