This paper reports the effect of MMAG in-situ compatibilizers in PMMA/PBT blends on miscibility, phase morphology, heat history and mechanical properties.DSC results showed the glassy transi- tion temperature (Tg) of PMMA/PBT blending system is a function of The phase morphology of PMMA/PBT=60/40 blend showed a co-con -tinuous phase structure. The addition of compatibilizer (MMAG) in the blend stabilized the phase morphology under annealing and improved slightly the resulted mechanical properties. By select- ing type of elastomer and processing sequence, elastomer particles distributed in PMMA,PBT or in both phases can be controlled. The elastomer residing in PBT phase results in better tensile proper- ties than in PMMA phase. | zh_TW |
