摘要: 本論文報導如何利用一般市販型之高功率導體雷射,繞射光柵及反射鏡組 成波長可調外腔半導體雷射研究其連續波光頻線寬的特性並利用Fabry- Perot etalon 為頻率鑑別器來作穩頻,穩定度可達 10^-8.我們也利用此 架構外加增益調變形成自饋增益調制產生單模波長可調微微秒光脈衝.這 種雷射具有40nm的單模波長可調範圍,大於20dB.旁模壓縮比SMSR.在連續 波之運作下,其有小於10MHz之線寬(測量儀器限制).在脈衝之運作下,產生 約50ps寬單模波長可調的光脈衝串,重複頻率為500MHz或1GHz.這樣的光源 應用很廣. In this thesis , we describe construction and characterzation avelength-tunable external-cavity semiconductor laser . Theser consists of a commerical high-power external- cavityiconductor laser diode , a grazing-incidence diffractioning and a total reflector end mirror . By using a-Perot etalon as the frequency discriminator , we able toize frequency of such a laser such that the peak-peakcy fluctuation is less than 10^-8 .We also have used theructure as a self-seeded gain-switched laser which cansingle-mode tunable optical pulses. The single-mode tuning range of this laser is 40nm and theide mode suppression suppression rate (SMSR)is more than 20 dBIn cw operation , the frequency linewidth is less thanHz (instrument limited) . In pulse operation , the laser isto generate single-mode tunable wavelength optical pulseshich the pulsewidth is about 50ps at 500MHz or 1GHz . Thissourse should be useful for many applications.
