網路化電腦輔助合作學習之使用者界面設計研究

Abstract

電腦輔助學習 (CAL) 系統的設計重點之一，就是決定如何運用電腦科技 ，提供一個有利學習者學習的環境。因此，學習者藉以和電腦系統互動的 使用者界面的設計是非常重要的。由於電腦網路的發展，電腦輔助學習系 統除了能夠適應學習者個別化學習外，更提供合作學習的功能。學習者在 網路化的電腦輔助合作學習系統裡，可以根據自己的進度單獨學習，也可 以透過網路來和不同的學習者討論、合作。學習者在網路化的電腦輔助合 作學習系統裡所要處理的工作，比傳統的電腦輔助學習系統更多、也更複 雜。如何因應學習者的需求，提供一個良好的使用者界面，讓學習者和系 統及和其他學習者進行有效的互動，是此系統的使用者界面設計者特別要 注意的。藉著探討各種使用者界面設計的理論、模式、設計的過程、方法 、準則及指導方針，本研究定出一套使用者界面的設計指引，並據此設計 一個網路化電腦輔助合作學習系統的使用者界面雛型，並針對這個雛型進 行評估，最後提出網路化電腦輔助合作學習系統的使用者界面設計的經驗 及建議。本研究發現，網路化的電腦輔助合作學習的使用者界面設計的相 關研究甚少，很難找出可以供界面設計者參考的指引。因此，本研究採用 一般使用者界面設計的原則，配合網路化電腦輔助合作學習系統的特點， 訂定出網路化電腦輔助合作學習的使用者界面設計指引。 The major goal of a computer-assisted learning (CAL) system is to use computer technology to support learning environments. With the development of computer network technology, CAL system can not only support individualized learning, but also facilitate cooperative/collaborative learning. The design of a human-computer interface is the key factor for the success of computer-assisted cooperative/ collaborative learning system. In this kind of system, the user interface should allow students shift their focuses back and forth between the working space (in which they learn the material) and the communication space (in which they communicate with their teachers and peer students). The goal of this study is to design and to develop a usable and quality user interface for a computer-assisted cooperative/ collaborative learning system. To achieve the goal, user interface theories, models, design methods, principles, and guidelines were first surveyed and concluded. Second, a user interface prototype was developed based on the derived design guidelines. Third, revisions, suggestions, and experience were provided for the further study on the computer-assisted cooperative/ collaborative learning system.
