HTML Author ─ 一個分散式超媒體系統的編製工具

Abstract

這篇論文是設計一套易學易用的分散式超媒體編製系統，叫作 HTML Author。這個系統的特色是 WYSIWYG ，並且以段落導向方式來編輯。由 於利用物件導向方式設計，使這套系統在將來容易擴充功能。因為 WWW ( World Wide Web ) 是目前分散式超媒體系統中，最受歡迎的一套系統 ，我們的編製系統知研究設計將以 WWW 系統之標準文件格式 HTML 為我 們所要支援的文件格式。這個系統目前已能提供線上圖片 ( inline image )、遞迴式 list ( nested list )、錨 ( anchor )高亮度文字 ( highlighting text )、標題 ( heading ) 等的編輯功能；以現有的程式 架構為基礎，相信可很容易地擴展其支援功能。這篇論文將描述此編製工 具的研究成果。重點將在描述所研究設計的軟體系統之使用界面及系統架 構，這些研究經驗可作為未來更進一步的研究發展之用。 In this thesis, a distributed hypermedia authoring tool called "HTML Author" is developed. This authoring tool is easy to learn and easy to use. The characteristics of this tool are WYSIWYG and paragraph-oriented authoring method. This tool is designed with object oriented method, so that the functions of this tool is easy to extend. Because WWW ( World Wide Web ) is the most popular one of distributed hypermedia systems, the current design of this tool is based on WWW's standard document format, called HTML. This tool now can offer authoring functions such as inline images, nested lists, auchors, highlighting texts , headings, etc. Based on the architecture of this authoring tool, we can easily extend it to any new hypermedia system.
