在 Windows NT 環境上 ODBC 資料庫之分散式交易服務

Abstract

這個系統主要是讓原本已習慣於一種資料庫系統介面的使用者,不用再花 時間去學習另外的資料庫介面與 SQL 的語法, 而能夠存取到不同的資料 庫表格 (table)。 本系統也提供了網路的功能, 讓使用者能從一指定的 網路位址存取表格。 在這個系統中，微軟公司的 ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) 扮演了一個重要的角色, 它使得不同資料庫系統間的整合 成為可能, 在接下來的幾章中將介紹什麼是 ODBC, 以及我們系統的實作 細節。 The main goal of our system is to provide a common user interface to users who used to use a particular database management system (DBMS) and its Structured Query Language (SQL) grammar. This user interface makes it possible that users can access different DBMS without spending time to learn the different interface and grammar between different DBMS. Our system also provide the functionality, users can access different DBMS files from hosts. The Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC), Microsoft*s plays an important role on making it possible that integrating different DBMS. In the following chapters, I'll introduce what is ODBC and the detail of our implementation.
