dc.description.abstract本論文合成兩系列含氟側取代之雙苯基雙乙炔和雙苯基乙炔化合物.其主
要的目的是希望能得到介電異向性為負的低溫向列型液晶, 而應用在垂直
排列的液晶顯示器上.本實驗所合成之化何物以熱微差掃瞄卡計和偏光顯
微鏡鑑定其液晶相及液晶相轉移溫度.結果顯示第一系列除了含個和六個
碳鏈不具液晶相外皆具有向列型液晶相.第二系列含對稱烷化合物不具有
液晶相,而不對稱之化合物則呈現出向列型液晶相.
The goal of study is to present the synthesis of two series of
diphenyldiacetylene andtolaneliguid crystals with lateral
fluoro-substituents.The obtained liguid crystals which are
expected to exhibited a high birefrigence,negative dielectric
anisotropy,low phase transition temperature and temperature and
low viscosity,areparticularly attractive for the liquid crystal
display with prependicular alignment. The obtained compounds
are characterized by differential scanninning calometry and
optical microscopy.These compounds will find useful application
in a liquid crystal display which has a perpendicular alignment.
