In this work, We study the operation of sealed-off CO2 lasersunder different discharge parmeters and gas compositions . Weuse both theoretical and experimental methods to find out thefactors that affect the laser output power . From a systematic measurements , using discharge tubes with different radius, weconclude that the optimum E/N value for CO2 lasers are in the range of 2xe-16 V-cm2 and a lower N2 content gas leads to a lower gas temperature which is favor of sealed-off laserszh_TW
