dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, we implement a cable modem system which consists of a cablemodem, a headend controller, a bandwidth allocator, a network management software, and a telephone return solution. In addition, we propose a novelmedium access protocol - Group Pipeline Polling ( GPP ) for the data over cable application. According to simulation result, GPP has similar performanceto IEEE 802.14 MAC protocol, and is much simpler to implement. | zh_TW |
