dc.description.abstract由TWNIC提供的數據顯示,近幾年網際網路(Internet)成長快速,已逐 漸成為一般人生活的一部份。在傳統網際網路的環境中,機器跟機器間透 過有線線路相連,一固定下來就幾乎不再移動。反觀行動計算環境,行動 主機可透過無線或有線介面連上網路,而且可到處移動,於是乎要如何在 不更改大部分傳統網路架構及程式的前提下,讓這台主機能夠連上網路存 取資料,讓其他主機能夠找到這部行動主機就成為行動計算環境中最大的 課題,而這就是行動性管理(mobility management)的範疇。 以 IETF Mobile-IP為基礎,我們提出網路層的階層式行動性管理架構及通訊 協定,以提供有效率的網路層交遞(handoff)及資料繞送流程。由模擬 結果可顯示出,在合理的模擬模型及耗費參數前提下,HMIP方法可以減少 註冊耗費及交遞程序的時間延遲,而且HMIP對於網路壅塞的敏感度較小。 另一方面,HMIP對於某些傳輸特性的應用程式,可以提供更有效率的資料 繞送流程。 The TWNIC reports show that Internet is growing tremendously fast and isbecoming part of our daily life these years. In tradictional networkenvironment, network nodes move no where after been setup. But in mobilecomputing enviroment, network nodes are mobile. Since they would moveeverywhere and still connect to Internet by using wired or wireless medium.Current network protocol needs modifications. Thus, Mobile-IP is invented tosupport host mobility. Based on IETF mobile-IP, we propose a hierarchical Mobile-IP (HMIP)infrastructure and protocol. And provide an efficient IP-layer handoff andefficient routing procedure. Upon reasonable simulatin model and costparameters, the simulatin results illustrate that the registration cost ofHMIP is less than IETF Mobile-IP. And HMIP is less sensitive to network delay.For some specific application, HMIP has better routing efficiency than IETFroute optimization.zh_TW
