摘要: 随着应用环境日渐复杂,资料库系统因为软硬体设备而发生错误
的机会也逐渐提高,recovery manager (回复管理器) 的制作目的,就是
在提供系统自动回复资料的功能。 一般而言,recovery manager
的制作技术可以分为log-based recovery,包含redo-undo recovery、
redo-only recovery和undo-only recovery,以及shadow page的作法。
其中,若以整体系统效率为考量,redo-undo recovery对buffer的限制最
少,也有不错的回复效能。 在本论文的研究中,我们采用一种
redo-undo的recovery演算法---ARIES来发展CTSS/PA的回复系统。针对
CTSS/PA 之peer-to-peer架构与多工环境的设计。最后,我们利用修正过
的OO7测试平台,对recovery manager的设计与制作,进行系统绩效评估
与分析讨论。
As the applications get more complicated, DBMS may crash
more often because of failures in both software and hardware.
The goal of developinga recovery manager is to support the
functionality, in which data recoveryis automaticlly performed.
Generally Speaking, recovery thchniques may be classified into
twocategories: those by log-based recovery, including redo-undo
recovery, redo-only recovery and undo-only recovery; and those
by shadow page. as thewhole system performance is concerned,
redo-undo recovery has less constraintin buffer management and
also performs very well in system recovery. In this
thesis, we adopt a log-based redo-undo recovery algorithm,called
ARIES, to develop the recovery manager of CTSS/PA. We modified
part ofARIES to accommodate to the peer-to-peer architecture and
multitask environment. Meanwhile, some special considerations
for log manager are designed, too. Finally, we applied modified
OO7 benchmark to measure the performance and gave associated
analysis and discussion.
