摘要: 薄膜電晶體液晶顯示器是目前液晶顯示器的主流。然而如果液晶盒使用線狀液晶的TN mode , 視角卻不甚寬廣。所以必須找出一個可行的方法來增廣視角。 目前增廣視角的方法有數種 , 其中以加上類似富士廣視角光學補償膜的方法最為實際有效。這個方法比其它數種改變液晶顯示模式增廣視角的方法在製程上容易 , 因此成本比較便宜 , 而且效果非常好。 本論文是針對TN型cell加上類似富士廣視角光學補償膜用電腦程式模擬最佳化參數設計。利用圓盤狀有機化合物的負性雙折射特性作廣視角光學補償膜的材料,來補償線狀液晶的正性雙折射特性所造成的光學相位延遲,達成使液晶顯示器的視角大幅增廣。
TFT-LCD ( Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display ) is now the most important liquid crystal display . If we use the TN mode of the nematic liquid crystal in the cell , the viewing angle of the display is not very wide . So we must find a method to make the viewing angle of the display become wider . There are several methods to make the viewing angle of the display become wider . In these methods , to add Fuji wide viewing angle compensation film is now the best . The method is easier to product , so it is cheaper . And it works very excellently . I used the computer program to simulate the design of optimization parameters for the wide viewing angle compensation film which is like the Fuji film for TN mode . And use the discotic molecule which has negative birefringence to be the material of the wide viewing angle compensation film . It compensates the phase retardation which results from the positive birefringence of the nematic liquid crystal . Than we can make the viewing angle of LCD become very wide.
