dc.description.abstract在電腦圖學的領域裡,自然界中形形色色的生物形態及發育之模擬一直都是極具挑戰性的問題。在本篇論文中,我們提出一個模擬珊瑚形態及紋理的方法。我們先觀察所要模擬之珊瑚的基本形態,在本篇論文中,我們著重在黍軸孔珊瑚及美麗軸孔珊瑚之模擬,利用L-systems定義出珊瑚的基本骨架,再據此產生珊瑚的幾何模型。並訂出一套機制決定珊瑚的色澤分布,解決在分枝時所產生的不連續,最後產生珊瑚表面的紋理。如此,我們便可以自動產生不同形態的珊瑚種類。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractIn Computer Graphics, the simulation of biological structure and morphogenesis is still a very challenging problem. In this thesis, we propose a method for synthesizing the coral shape and texture. First of all, we get insight into the fundamental structure of the coral type in which we are interested and then adopt the random L-systems to generate the skeleton of coral. In this thesis, we focus on the simulation of Acropora cerealis and Acropora formosa. We then use the skeleton to produce the geometric model. We define a mechanism to determine the color distribution of coral. We also deal with the discontinuity in the ramiform. Finally, we map volume texture to the coral surface. In this way, we can automatically generate different categories of coral.en_US
