dc.description.abstract在這隨著資訊蓬勃發展的時代裡,許多盛行產品種類中之一種就是資訊家電。資訊家電的具體應用例子有:PDA(掌上型數位助理)、可上網的冰箱等等。為了實現這些資訊家電,經常會需要應用到所謂嵌入式系統的技術。以PDA為例,其系統可分為三大類:WinCE、PalmOS、Linux。然而不管是哪一種,在小小的嵌入式系統裡,如何能夠使用有限記憶體來進行高效能的軟體執行,是一項很重要的技術需求及研究課題。 在這篇論文中,我們針對Linux為基礎的嵌入式系統,提出一項可以節省記憶體使用量的策略,並且將之具體模擬實現於這個例子上,並實驗取得數據來證明這個策略能有效地達到記憶體節省目的,相對地亦提升其應用軟體的執行效能。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractAt the day of vast advancement of information technology, one kind of many reigns of products is information appliances. Several examples of information appliances are PDA and Internet web within reefer. We usually need technology of embedded systems to achieve information appliances. For the example of PDA system, there are three kinds of systems: WinCE, Palm OS, and Linux. However, No matter what kinds of systems need the major technology requirement and research issue is how to use the limited memory space to run the execution of software with high performance within small embedded system. In this thesis, we suggest a scheme, which can reduce the using of memory based on the embedded system of Linux. We will implement and simulate the scheme with our new allocator. Based on the comprehensive experiments, we show and validate that the proposed scheme achieves to the goal of saving memory. It will step up the performance of execution of applications.en_US
