摘要: | 超宽频(Ultra WideBand)无线通讯是目前工业界最受瞩目的新兴无线通讯技术。它不仅是行动装置之间互相沟通的高速传输媒介,也被期待成为家用电器用以传递资料的革命性新发展。由于超宽频无线通讯可以被应用在各种不同的装置上,如数位电视,MP3拨放器,个人电脑,或是数位个人助理等,作为互相沟通的桥梁。所以我们必须还要根据不同的应用来考虑传输网路的服务品质和传输量需求。 本篇论文将会针对各种不同的无线网路的介质存取层对于介质分配的机制作研究和讨论。探讨在超宽频无线通讯的特性下,研究出最适合超宽频无线通讯所需要的运作机制。除了考虑合适的传输介质分配方式,还要考虑网路架构的自我调整,并且针对UWB的特殊性质尽量节约电力的消耗。在设计上,我们参考IEEE 802.15.3作为基本架构再加以修改并增加功能,我们提出了新的MAC运作机制,目的是要让整体传输能量减少一半左右,并且增加整个系统的传输量。最后再以模拟的方式,验证及量测系统运作之效能。 Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) is an emerging wireless communication technology. It not only enables high speed communication for mobile devices, but also is being expected to be a revolution for the communication of home electric appliance. Since UWB can be applied in a diverse of devices, such as Digital TV, MP3 players, Personal Computers, PDAs, etc, therefore, the Quality-of-Service (QoS) guarantee and bandwidth requirement should be deeply concerned. In this thesis, we first discuss the mechanisms of MAC controller in different wireless network systems. Besides, the requirements of MAC Controller with regard to the special features of UWB technology and the well-suited MAC operating policy and mechanism for the UWB systems are investigated. After that, on the basis of IEEE 802.15.3, we design a UWB MAC protocol that considers some specific UWB features. As a result, from the simulation results, the proposed MAC protocol can save half of the transmission power and improve the system throughput. |
