摘要: 近年來, 由於科技持續進展, 越來越多人在開始在日常生活中使用各式各樣的行動裝置。 這些裝置通常 (如手機, PDA ...等)都會配備一個紅外線收發器, 系統本身也內建紅外線通訊協定, 使得程式員可以透過這個新的傳輸媒介發展新的應用, 例如與電腦上的資料同步, 交換名片 ...等。 但早期的機器並不具備紅外線通訊的能力, 不過一般都會支援 RS232介面。 為了讓這些早期的機器也能具備紅外線通訊能力, 本專題設計一個具標準紅外線通訊協定與 RS232介面的中繼裝置來達成此目的。 本系統主要包含兩張實驗板, 其上分別有 Altera FLEX FPGA和 samsung S3C44B0X處理器。 FPGA負責將數位資料調變為特定的形式, 而 S3C44B0X必須正確解譯封包內容, 並透過 RS232傳送封包中有意義的資料。
Recently, the mobile technology gets a lot of progress; therefore more and more people start using these mobile devices in their daily life. Usually, these devices, such as mobile phones, PDAs, etc., are equipped with an infrared transceiver and the system on the devices also supports IrDA protocol stack. This makes developing new applications, like synchronizing data between computer and mobile devices, exchanging business cards, etc, over infrared possible. Unfortunately, old machines don't support IrDA protocol but they usually have RS232 interface. In order to enable these machines to communicate with other IrDA devices, we implement an intermediate device equipped with IrDA protocol stack and RS232 interface. There are two main development boards in this system. One has Altera FLEX FPGA and the other is equipped with Samsung S3C44B0X processor. The FPGA acts like an IrDA codec, while S3C44B0X takes charge to interpret the contents of each frame and transfer meaningful data through RS232.
