摘要: 現今研究機構學術績效常以著作之相關指數作為評估的依據:包括著作數量、被引用次數、影響因子(Impact Factor)、排名因子(Ranking Factor)等。唯在因子分析部分卻容易因為人為因素導致績效表現的評估誤差,同時也沒有一套完整的系統提供使用者與決策者參考資訊以資利用。本研究建置一套以文獻自動分類為基礎的引用分析系統:AAS(Academic Analysis System)用以解決上述問題。系統中包含文獻分類模組、前置處理模組、指數計算模組以及分析類型處理與分析結果呈現等五大模組。使用者藉由系統的統計與圖表呈現,以Journal Citation Reports(JCR)領域為分類基礎,呈現JCR領域、關鍵字分布、期刊分布、指數分析以及跨機構比較等分析結果。使用者或決策者可參考系統所產出之各項表現來評估研究機構未來之研究方向、提供參考文獻購置建議以及相關學術服務的整合參考。
Nowadays, various metrics, including the number of publications, the number of (non-self) citations, impact factors, journal ranking factors, are adopted for evaluating the achievements of academic institutions, like universities and research institutes, and individual researchers. Nevertheless, the above-mentioned indices may introduce distortion or misleading interpretations when human factors get involved. The aim of this study is to construct a citation analysis system based on automatic classification (Academic Analysis System, AAS) for resolving the possible inappropriate evaluation outcomes. The proposed AAS contains five major modules, including classification, pre-processing, index calculation, data type analysis, and data presentation. On top of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of Thomson Reuters, users could retrieve the citation information about JCR categories, keyword distributions, journal distributions, index analysis and cross-institution comparison with the presentation of the AAS. Users or managers can also use the information conveyed by the AAS to appraise future research directions, to assist acquisition planning of bibliography settlement or to provide a broader extent of integrated services.
