摘要: 目前 JVT 正在制订包括于 AVC (或称 H.264) 里之可调式视讯编码。其精神是在以 AVC 为基底来进行可调式视讯编码,使视讯串流不仅具有 AVC 的高压缩品质,且具备时间、空间、噪讯比等可调性,使系统不需经过重新转码即可因应不同使用者的软/硬体及网路环境条件。
本论文首先介绍,在可调式视讯串流服务模组里,为达成目标传输速率进行可调式视讯编码 (H.264/AVC Scalable Video Coding) 视讯串流分析,以建构所需删节或取用各可调性分层的提取技术。在介绍此可调式视讯提取技术演算法的同时,一并说明其程式模组及使用方法。
Currently, JVT is working on scalable video coding (SVC) standardization as part of AVC (also known as H.264). The idea of AVC SVC is based on MPEG-4 AVC to incorporate temporal, spatial, and SNR scalability so that not only it has high compression efficiency but also the encoded stream can be adapted to heterogeneous user/network environments without transcoding.
The objective of this report is to introduce dynamic layer extraction techniques as a module in our layer streaming of scalable video to conform a time-dependent target bitrate
