Idie的先死後生

Abstract

本論文為針對作者畢業創作Idie所進行的創作自述。Idie是一本半自傳體的圖像小説，故事訴說著一個小女孩 Idie 探索外在世界與進入內在深處的過程。這段旅程沒有開始與完結，如同每個生命的片段。作品給予作者一個與深層自我對話的機會，約十個月的創作與產出裡，作者像是遊走在夢裡，精神、心靈與身體好似跨越各個不同的時空，進入夢與記憶，彙整、截取，創造或改編自我的故事，Idie像是牽著作者的手揭露劇幕的另一個我，也像是將作者拉進畫中體驗不同世界的精靈。 整段過程如同每件生命經驗的到來，作者將其視為必然的發生，從中幫助作者體認出「我安頓在這裡的意義」。

This thesis is an artist statement of my graduate work “Idie.” Idie is a semiautobiographical graphic novel. The story talks about the process of a little girl, Idie, exploring the outer world and her inner being. There is no beginning and no end of this journey, just as every piece of life experiences. Because of creating this artwork, I had the chance to have a long and deep conversation with my innermost self. During the ten months of drawing, I was like walking in the dream. My soul, mind and body passed through different time and space where dreams and memory settle; I sorted out and picked up some of them, and then the story goes by itself. Idie is my another self who reveals the curtain or like an elf who leads me to the world of this graphic novel. For me, the whole process of creating is an inevitable life experience. By drawing, I realize more about the notion of “why I am here?”
