摘要: | 主題式資源指引(Subject Gateway)可說是學術圖書館業務的一項特色,圖書館館員粹選與綜整各領域的相關知識,且透過有系統的編纂方式呈現。傳統主題式資源指引的建置與維護需投入大量的人力與心力。有鑑於此,本論文企圖探討以Web 2.0的重要工具--維基引擎 (Wiki Engine )—來建置主題式資源指引的可能性。
Web 2.0 是種觀念的改變,所強調的並不在於技術,強調的是『互動與分享』的特質。它主要是以網路為平台,資訊的流向為網站建置者與使用者雙方互動的模式進行、用戶分享共同的創作成果、其成果更是為集體智慧的結晶。本論文利用維基引擎來實際應用在主題式資源指引網站,探討應用維基引擎建立主題式資源指引網站所將面臨的問題,並針對這些問題提出一套可行的解決方案。利用維基引擎的特性,可以讓使用者很簡單地參與內容的建置;而為了維護內容的品質,更是引入了學科專家的機制來一同把關。在研究過程中,研究者實際架設一套開放原始碼的主題式資源指引軟體--Research Guide,比較傳統內容管理系統與Web 2.0概念內容管理系統之差異性。本論文所使用的Wiki系統平台乃是以 ccTiddly Engine為基礎,並根據交通大學圖書館的使用需求加以修改與擴充相關功能,以求建置一個通用且適合使用的系統。 One distinguished service of an academic library is a subject gateway. Librarians choose essential knowledge of specific subject fields, and systematically present those pieces of knowledge to users. However, the creation and maintenance of a subject grateway incurs a great mount of time and effort; in view of this, this thesis attempts studying the possibility of creating a subject gateway by means of an important tool of Web 2.0 – the Wiki engine. In order to understand the problems of creating and maintaining a subject gatway in a traditional manner, the researcher creates an exemplary subject gateway using an open-source software, the Research Guide. In addition, the pros and cons of creating a subject gateway using a Wiki engine are also detailed. A Wiki engine allows users to easily participate the contribution of content of a subject gateway. On the other hand, the free contribution of a Wiki engine necessitates a quality-control mechanism. On the basis of a Wiki engine – ccTiddly, the research takes into account the requirements of the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) library and develops a Wiki-based subject gateway. |
