摘要: | 在系統晶片的設計上,以平台為基礎的軟硬體協同已被廣泛運用。本提案中,考慮
包含IEEE 802.16e 以及IEEE 802.11n 的多系統設計和相關智慧型天線技術,首先我們
將發展純軟體的MAC 層協定,接著將之放到ARM 及Andes 平台上進行軟硬體協同設計與
驗證。在硬體模型的建構方面,我們會發展SystemC 為基礎的模型,用以量化系統的執
行效能(例如所需的運算cycle),並且可以上下層的系統整合。為了有效的處理多媒體
傳輸以及系統內、系統間的互動,我們會建立一個以ARM SoC Designer 為基礎的電子
系統層級(ESL)設計平台。最後,我們將提出一個可調整的MAC 架構,其可以處理OFDM
為基礎的多系統MAC 協定,另外,在此計畫中,我們亦會研究MAC 用處理器或加速器的
可行性。 Platform based hardware and software co-verification has been widely used in the SoC designs. In this proposal, considering of multi-system, IEEE 802.116e and IEEE 802.11n, and associated smart antenna technologies, AAS and MIMO, we will first develop full software MAC protocols for both systems and then apply that to both ARM or Andes ESL development platform for hardware and software co-design and verification. For the hardware modeling, SystemC based modeling will be developed to quantify system』s cycle performance and will be used as a general develop platform for the system integration of upper and lower layers. To effectively handle multimedia transmission and the interaction within and between systems, a multi-node ESL platform based environment will be developed based on the ARM SOC Designer tool. Finally, a reconfigurable MAC architecture will be proposed for handling multi-system OFDM based MAC protocols and the possibility of having the MAC processor or accelerator will be investigated also in this project. |
