Abstract: | 此計畫的主要目的是研究適用於Facebook的網路遊戲平台,尤其地在先行了解此系統可達成的效能。Facebook遊戲系統的特色是使用人數,可能達到數百萬人以上;然而,另一特色是使用者間的互動,不若一般線上遊戲的頻繁。因此,我們計畫設計一個適用於Facebook的網路遊戲雛形系統,並研究分析可達成之效能,如此架構的效能表現(遊戲反應時間等)、延展性(Scalability;增加遊戲主機數量與玩家人數之效能)、各Game Server通訊效能表現。 我們預計此計畫的研究工作項目如下: 1 收集研究相關之資料。 2 研究設計遊戲系統平台之架構,並設計雛形系統含以下三項模組。 3 管理伺服器(Management Server)之研究設計。 4 中心伺服器(Center Server)之研究設計。 5 遊戲室伺服器(Room Server)之研究設計。 6 整體系統效能之研究分析。 The purpose of this project is to study a network game platform for Facebook application, and especially to study the performance of such a network game platform. A feature of Facebook games is a huge number of players, normally over millions of users. However, another feature of Facebook games is that the interoperations among users are not so heavy. So, we plan to design a prototype network game platform for Facebook and study its performance in many aspects, such as response times and throughputs, scalability (the number of game servers vs. the number of users) and communication performance. In this project, the planned research work items are listed as follows. 1. Collect all the commercial and research information related to this project. 2. Study and design the architecture of the network game platform. 3. Study and design the management server in the platform. 4. Study and design the center server in the platform. 5. Study and design the room server in the platform. 6. Analyze the performance of the whole prototype platform. |
