摘要: | 交通大學的強關聯與量子物質研究群的研究內容為物質中新穎的量子
特性與量子行為.這些奇特的物質無法為以知的凝體物理定律所描述,且其
數量正與日俱增.我們將研究這些物質在極端條件下的行為,意即其高壓,
高磁場與極低溫效應.在研究的過程中,有關各種相變如何與物質結構互動
的知識,是研究上述課題的關鍵。為了這個任務,我們提議建立一個先進
的X 光繞射實驗室。應用此科技亦可探測奈米尺度物質的結構與特性.使用
這些技術所揭露的量子物質非凡特性,極可能應用於發展中的奈米科技,甚
至成為人類未來生活的基石. The strongly correlated electrons and quantum matter group in NCTU spans the research scope of novel quantum properties and phenomena in innovated materials. These materials, in an increasing number, cannot be described in terms of traditional models of condensed matter physics. We proposal to study the quantum matter in extreme conditions under high pressure, high magnetic fields and at low temperatures. For these studies, knowledge on the interplay between the various phase transitions and the materials structure changes are indispensible. We will employ a task to build an advanced x-ray diffraction system. The novel properties of the nanostructures and particles revealed by the above advanced technology provide unpreceded opportunities in nanotechnology and future applications. |
