優人神鼓舞作資產數位典藏計畫 (I)

Abstract

優人神鼓創團迄今正好屆滿20 年，在國內外均受到高度的讚譽，多年來持續受邀 至全球許多重要的國際藝術節演出，是台灣最傑出的表演藝術團隊之ㄧ。創辦人劉若瑀 更於二○○八年獲得國家文藝獎(戲劇類)的殊榮。優人神鼓的舞蹈表演屬於綜合性的劇 場表演藝術，除了舞蹈表演之外，它所涉及的藝術創作還包括了音樂、服裝、燈光、舞 臺、道具等等的設計與製作，一齣舞作表演，呈現了台灣當時在各藝術領域裡的成就與 風格，而這些藝術家也藉著表演的舞臺，展現了他們的創作。 優人神鼓自創團以來，已演出超過三十齣舞碼，累積了龐大的舞碼之相關文獻資 料。礙於有限的人力和物力，優人神鼓只能用傳統的方式來保存這些文獻資料，遑論運 用現代化的資訊技術將之數位化，並發揮其數位資產的價值了。有鑑於此，交通大學乃 以過去協助協助雲門舞集建置數位典藏的經驗，邀請優人神鼓提供其典藏品，在本計畫 中建置數位化的優人神鼓文化資產。 「優人神鼓舞作資產數位典藏計畫」擬以三年為期，本次計畫為第一期，本年度的 計畫重點有： (1) 優人神鼓典藏品的數位化；(2) 優人神鼓典藏品之後設資料訂定與編 目；(3) 典藏優人神鼓之基地「優人神鼓山上劇場」；(4) 「優人神鼓舞作資產數位博物 館」之建立。

This project aims at creating a digital archive for the dances of U Theatre of Taiwan (優 人神鼓), an internationally recognized dance theatre. In 1988, at a very small theatre, U Theatre announced its establishment with a performance of its first play, Notes from the Underground by Faust. Since then, U Theatre has created more than 30 plays and dances. Due to the great achievement of U Theatre, Liu Ruo-Yu, the founder of U Theatre, wins the National Culture and Arts Prize (國家文藝獎) in 2008. In the past 20 years, U Theatre has accumulated many kinds of archives related to its plays and dances. Limited by human resource and budget, these archives can only be stored and managed in a very humble manner. In view of this, as well as knowing the importance of U Theatre, National Chiao Tung University invites U Theatre to conduct the U Theatre Digital Archives Project. Due to the enormous amount of U Theatre’s archives, this project will be a three-year project. In the first year, the primary tasks of this project include: 1. A total of twenty-four representative dances from U Theatre will be selected, covering every important epoch of U Theatre. The photographs, flyers, posters, programs, articles, reviews, and news reports of each of these dances will be digitalized. 2. Draw up the metadata for U Theatre, and catalog every item of U Theatre accordingly. 3. “Archive” the Laocyuan Village, home and center of U Theatre, and one important culture asset chosen by the Taipei City. 4. The Web Site of U Theatre Digital Archives will be established to exhibit the above-mentioned twenty-eight dances
