Every year thousands of children become victims of crime—whether it’s through kidnapping, violent attack, or sexual abuse. Children are the most vulnerable and innocent victims of crimes. Nowadays, parents have busy working lives and hectic schedules means they can’t monitor them for 24 hours per day. This system is built to help parents monitor their children and minimize crimes against children indirectly. Whenever abduction happens, this system also can help police to reveal it rapidly and effectively, such as locating child’s location. This system has three components: Kid App, Parent App, and database server. Kid App and Parent App is built on Android Phone. GPS is used to locate kid’s location. Location detection uses safe zone system that is divided into three zones: safe or green zone, beware or yellow zone, and danger or red zone. Accelerometer is used to detect kid falling down. Whenever something dangerous happen to the children, parents will be notified through SMS or call. Parent App can track kid’s location, manage kid’s safe zone, and eavesdrop kid’s phone. Database server acts as a storage. Although smartphone is not better than wearable technology in monitoring children, the widespread and the cheap price of smartphone make the device is a better way to protect more children nowadays.
