摘要: 台灣類比IC設計公司的崛起過程大多是由小公司、利基市場開始,在台灣發展類比IC近二十年後,新進公司面對的是有眾多資源與規模經濟既有龍頭公司的競爭,新進公司能否利用速度以及彈性的優勢生存並擴充資源將會是其重要的發展關鍵。本研究的主要目的在於探討類比IC產業成長的動力,經由探討台灣類比IC產業的歷程,分析現階段各公司的狀況、以及後段班公司發展瓶頸等問題,佐之以個案公司的創業歷程、發展策略、競爭優勢及其所選取的成長模式,分析其決策的過程與考量, 以及預期的效益與潛在的風險等問題,提出公司發展的策略建議,期望能作為台灣類比IC 公司成長策略的參考。
Most analog IC design companies start as a small enterprise with targeted niche markets. As more and more companies have entered this market, the competition for resources and agility intensifies. Using existing advantages to win more resources to transform a company for embracing new competition is an important milestone in the development of being a successful one. This research attempts to identify the dynamics of analog IC design industry by examining the development of analog IC design companies in Taiwan, analyzing them individually, and reviewing the bottlenecks of their development. Conducting the case studies of individual companies is an integral part of this research. A case company was examined from its start-up history, development strategy, product and market positioning, competition, selected growth path, and decision making considerations of expected benefits and related risks. Conclusions were drew by making proposals on the strategic management of company development, which hope will serve as a growth model for Taiwan analog IC companies.
