From ancient Rome to nowadays, architects always consider human activities are as important as the architectures. These events make a building alive and completed. By the introduction of event-derived interface, an event-basis architecture design process is considered. The Interface is a translator of event and space. It is the key place where event ideas are transformed to architecture space. The event-derived interface is un-directional space. It is usually found in circulation route and is the center of main openings. The mobility and temporary make the interface a flexible space. Accordingly, taking vertical / horizontal and void/ mobility/object as x-y axis matrix, the combination of each axis characterize the form of an event-derived interface. Both the event and interface are related to surroundings and geographic scale. Hence, the interface could be part of an architecture, or the architecture itself is the interface. Sometimes there are more than one interface in a building or specific space area. According to the event's property, there are three types of interface. In daily life activity, core-interface is usually there to stabilize everyday events and spaces. In specific events, such as exhibition, a coordinate-interface is as a supportive spaces which organize the sub-units with different functions but under the same specific event. A distinct annex-interface is put into the original spaces when there is innovative event. It usually serves as buffer zone to the connection and fusion of original and innovative events. In conclusion, in an event-basis architecture design, the interface space is derived and designed by the contents design of event. And it is the basis to complete the design of the whole architecture space. In all kind of events and any scale of architecture, the event-derived interface functions as an index and exhibit the events to people.
