摘要: | 近年來經濟發展迅速,中國大陸、印度及中南美洲經濟亦快速成長,全球化經濟高度發展造就了消費意識抬頭,同時也造成消費性電子產品的高度成長,其中以平板電腦與智慧型手機的成長率更為驚人。此現象造成液晶顯示器廠商紛紛朝向高解析度、高對比、高輝度以及輕量化行動產品為發展主軸。
傳統平板電腦液晶顯示器背光模組中多以雙面膠帶結合軟式發光燈條及金屬背板。背板的功能為支撐背光模組之結構強度、幫助發光二極體的散熱以及防止靜電破壞液晶面板為主。但傳統設計之金屬背板原材料密度較高而導致背光模組重量較重及雙面膠帶熱阻不佳,而導致軟式發光燈條熱傳導效率降低,進而造成發光二極體工作溫度過高使其壽命大幅降低等缺點。
本論文嘗試以金屬基材印刷電路板應用於平板電腦液晶顯示器,以期達到背光模組輕量化設計的目的。研究中使用金屬基材印刷電路板取代傳統軟式發光燈條、雙面膠及金屬背板,藉由部材簡化達到輕量化目的,並且通過機械、光學、電性及環境等可靠度測試以證明能符合業界之相關規範。
本研究之結果對於降低平板電腦的整體重量應有相當的助益,目前市場上的平板液晶顯示器背光模組尚未有此設計產品,希望本研究能給日後平板電腦的液晶背光模組設計有所依循。 In recent years, the economy has grown fast, particularly in Mainland China, India and Middle and South America. The intensive development of global economy feeds consumption awareness and also the great growth of consumer electronic products, among which the tablet personal computers (PCs) and smart phones increase incredibly. It results in a tendency that the LCD manufacturers pursue high resolution, high contrast and high brightness as well as lightweight mobile products. Traditionally, the backlight unit (BLU) of LCD mainly consists of double side tape combined with light bar and metal chassis. Basically, the metal chassis is to support the structural strength of BLU, help LED radiate radiation and protect LCD from static electricity. However, the metal chassis in traditional design always has high density, which would lead to heavy weight of BLU and low thermal resistance of the double side adhesive tape. Also, the thermal conduction efficiency of light bar would be lower. As a result, with due to the ultra-high operating temperature, the LED service life would be greatly shortened along with other weakness. This essay attempts to lighten the weight of achieve BLU lightweight design by applying metal coated printed circuit board (PCB) to on LCD. In this research, metal coated PCB is used to substitute light bar, double-sided adhesive trap and metal chassis -- simplified material for lightweight. The research also proves that the application complies with related regulations in this industry through credibility test in mechanics, optics, electricity and environment. The result of the research would considerably substantially help lower the overall weight of tablet PC. Since such design has not been applied in the LCD market yet, this research is expected to lay the foundation for future BLU design in tablet PC. |
