dc.description.abstract | DITSE (DIstributed Transaction Services Environment) is a distributed heterogeneous multi-database system which provides SQL to allow users to transparently access multiple databases on different machines. It also provides OLTP (On-Line Transaction Processing) services which contribute to develop reliable distributed applications. DITSE follows the most popular commit protocol, two-phase commit protocol, to reach an agreement between different transaction managers. In this paper, we describe the architecture and some important features of DITSE. Relevant design issues are also addressed. | en_US |
