摘要: | 本論文為作者於2010年的畢業創作《關於距離 About the Distance》之創作自述。創作者以2007~2010年間自身的生活經驗為創作主軸,藉此探討人與人之間既緊密又疏離的關係—一種無法度量的心理距離。創作的形式以服裝為主,共產出三個系列作品:「保護球」、「交集:我們之間有多靠近?」與「軟性刺蝟」。
創作動機是從群聚現象的觀察開始,並應用集論的概念,直接推衍到生活中人與人間多種複雜的交互關係並予以分類,而創作者則以旁觀者的姿態省視自己在每個不同的生活圈中,是如何應對或拒絕連結。人與人間關係的變動,無論是在公共空間,或是縮小到個人空間,甚至是親密距離,都是條多變且沒有規則的軌跡。本論文選擇以服裝的形式來創作,其考量重點於服裝是外觀的一部份,是任何連結於身上且具體可見或物質化的物件,它具有以非語言的溝通方式將心中特定的意念具體化之特色,因此將它做為內在情緒膨度延伸的創作媒材,非常符合創作者心中的訴求。在創作的過程中,從關鍵字聯想乃至形態的演變到最後成品的發表規劃,皆以「圓」為所有表現形態的依歸。而在實驗發想的過程裡,從立體造形的探索、支撐結構的應用到新材質的衍生,「紙」則扮演著不可忽視的角色,它不但好取得且易發揮,是造型初探的好材料。藉由本次創作反芻過往並帶出新生的體會,對於創作者而言,人與人間的距離,將會是人生中不斷形變的課題,永遠不會暫停或止歇。 This thesis is the creative biography of my graduated artwork "About the Distance" in 2010.The major concepts of my thesis that is developing from the life experiences of my own from 2007 till 2010 explores and discusses about the relations in between mans. Clothes (outfits) is the major concern of my thesis, by using this media I try to explore and then discuss about the complicated and unable to measured mental gaps or distances between humans. There are three basis of my artworks of creation: "Protective Ball", "Intersection: How Close between Us?" and "Soft Hedgehog". The contents are started from observation of the general publics, including accommodations, multiple reactions among people and then classified into different circles. Also, I put myself into those categories to do self-inspection about how do I react to it, accept it or turn it down as a role of observer. Why did I choose clothes to be the main object to discuss about the tensions of internal emotions within relationships in my thesis? Due to clothes of outfit is a part of outside appearance, from this it reveals some personal messages and helps to discover and tract the clues. It helps in better understanding of “human beings’ relationships” which is varied from mass aggregations even to the private intimacies, and is variable distances between subjects. Thus I use paper this material to represent the clothes and try to make it more objective to explain my ideas. Paper itself is the ideal materials to apply due its properties including the 3-dimension of products, the structures and the new materials. Thus, I use the idea of “round” as the major form of expression of my artworks. I make the documentation of recording from the very beginning to the end. During the experiments of thesis, I found out that paper is a good media to retrospect and expect the clothing habits of man. If could, it might offer the help to discover more and more randomized clothing tendency of humans. |
