摘要: 網際網路蓬勃發展,與網路科技的日新月異,帶來了資訊交流的好處如:能便宜且快速的蒐集資訊、可儲存大量資訊、整合及傳播資訊、依使用者需求提供互動式資訊。網路的普及化讓網路就像水,電一樣已經是人類的生活的必需品。以Jupiter Researche估計,全球上網人口至2011年將達20億人企業本身的資訊化,也帶動了大量資料儲存的需求。 2008年金融海嘯使得個人對於電子產品、智慧型裝置等的消費乃至企業的IT成本支出都急速緊縮,然而,使用者對於資訊的需求與交流並沒有因此而減少,反而更激起大家思考要用更節能、更方便的方式來提升對資訊存取交流的模式,也帶動了雲端運算服務的興起,更被視為繼Web 2.0之後,下一個科技產業的重要里程碑。根據IDC統計,未來五年全球雲端運算市場規模將達到九百五十億美元,佔全世界軟體市場的12%。 雲端服務架構中,儲存產業算是雲端基礎服務設施的一環。本研究將針對儲存產業的概況,產業特性,台灣儲存產業的市場結構,從雲端儲存的角度來探討台灣儲存產業的機會與挑戰,是否能在雲端服務中找到商機。
Upon the blooming development of Internet, the advantage of information interflow brings us: speedy and cheap information collection, mass information store up, and provide interactive and integrative information by user’s demand. According to Jupiter Researche estimation, until 2011, the worldwide internet access population will achieve 200 millions. In the meantime, enterprise information drives mass information storage demand. 2008 Financial crisis decreased IT investment but not restrain information/data increase. People seek more cheap and efficient way to stock their valuable and un-discarded data which initiate new business model of data storage shift from local devise to internet which call “Cloud Storage Service”. Storage or cloud storage industry belongs to part of Cloud Computing Infrastructure Service. Taiwan is well known for high-tech industry, especially in OEM and ODM. Under the pressure of worldwide competitor and low profit from OEM and ODM business model, Taiwan need to have advance strategy to get better position in the world. By analyzing storage industry from the point of cloud storage service, we can see the storage industry role in cloud storage, we can learn how to establish the global supply chain, how the main player develop their business strategy. In conclusion, the research provides some worthy principles to share the bottleneck and potential opportunity of Taiwan cloud storage future development.
