Abstract: 本研究設計一套量測生物體機械性質的方法,此方法主要由微玻
管搭配AFM 探針做為主要設備,逐漸拉伸生物體直到破壞,再由AFM
探針的彎曲可以得到其生物體的機械性質。
此實驗主要生物體是肌肉微管細胞(muscle myotubes),此細胞
是由肌肉原細胞(muscle myoblasts)分化而得,肌肉微管細胞為肌肉
組成最基本單位,此實驗可幫助研究或計算肌肉組織的強度作為參考
文獻。
In this study, we developed a device to measure mechanical
property of biomolecules. It mainly utilized the micropipette
and AFM probe for the measurement, and it can stretch the cell
from its initial length to the ultimate break point. We
calculated the stretching force from the bending deflection of
the AFM probe.
Myotubes are the objects in this study. Myotubes are the
basic unit cell in muscular structure and are derived of
myoblast differentiation. The measurement and understanding of
myotube strength is the foundation from which to investigate
the mechanical properties of muscle.
