dc.description.abstractThis paper is to develop a method to monitor the fractions of the tested items falling into different categories of pass/fail modes. The Dirichlet-compound multinomial model is first introduced and then a multivariate exponentially weighted moving average control chart is proposed for a categorical manufacturing process under the proposed model. Some relevant properties of the proposed control chart are also investigated. Finally, a simulation study is presented to show the usefulness and applicability of the proposed methodology.en_US
