摘要: 如何减少能量的消耗来提升行动通讯装置的电池寿命再IEEE 802.16e中是个很重要的议题。在IEEE 802.16e中,提出了三类的省电机制来改善行动通讯装置的能量消耗,而我们的研究将针对三个省电机制中规划即时性讯务的第二类省电机制。在我们的论文中,我们考虑了行动通讯装置的服务品质找到了最具省电效能的睡眠周期,并且提出针对多个行动通讯装置的规划第二类省电机制的演算法。我们的节能规划演算法提供了比之前研究更好的节能效率,并且拥有与先前研究一样好的频宽利用率。
How to conserve energy for increasing mobile subscriber stations (MSS) battery life is an important issue in IEEE 802.16e wireless networks. In IEEE 802.16e, there are three types of power saving classes (PSCs) for MSSs to reduce their power consumption. We focus on PSC type II which recommended for real-time traffic. In this thesis, we will find the most energy efficient sleep cycle for a MSS with a real-time connection considering its Quality of Service (QoS). Then we propose an energy efficient scheduling algorithm for multiple MSSs. Compared with previous designs, our proposed scheduling algorithm reduces more power consumption while resulting in comparable resource utilization.
