Abstract: 本研究在探討新興的矽智財產業與IC設計服務產業的經營模式。資訊產業過去在英特爾(Intel) 處理器加上微軟視窗作業系統(Windows) 的 Wintel 統一架構下,資訊業因此蓬勃發展;近年來通訊產業也在通訊技術2G、3G、4G 和Nokia、Sony-Ericsson、Apple、hTC、Sampsung 等世界手機大廠的努力下欣欣向榮。隨著資訊業跟通訊業的界限開始趨於模糊,讓Intel的PC 架構與ARM的行動裝置架構正面交鋒,新的商業模式蹶起,成為現在科技業最熱門的話題之一。 隨著半導體製程日益精細複雜,晶片設計困難度越來越高,市場應用面越來越多元性,以及產品追求更快速的上市時效性,矽智財服務產業因此有機會醞釀成型,矽智財服務因而造就半導體產業的第三次革命性發展,半導體產業進入更專業分工的時代。 本研究聚焦在全球二家主要矽智財廠商安謀科技( ARM)與新思科技 (Synopsis)的經營模式,並與台灣主要的IC 設計服務廠商創意電子(GUC)一起探討;在現今瞬息萬變的科技產業中,如何因應現況與創新突破正考驗各廠商的思維與發展方向。
This thesis is to discuss the Business of SIP Vendors and IC Design Service Providers in Taiwan。Under Intel and Microsoft windows unified framework,the PC Industry has flourished decades。The Communication Industry is also blooming in the evolution of 2G、3G、4G technologies and mobile productions。The boundary between PC Industry and Communication industry becomes fuzzily and the new business model growth,Intel and ARM compete head-on。 As the semiconductor industry leap forward to even more advanced technologies,the design rule is more difficult、production application is various、Time-to-market is requested to shorten,these factors drive growth in SIP and design service model emergence。 This study focused on the major SIP vendors:ARM, Synopsis and major IC design service vendor in Taiwn :GUC。 How these vendors have created the new business and what’s the breakthrough they make。
