摘要: 本論文所述之研究,旨在使用具有高度增益的摻鉺光纖作為雷射介質,並 實際架設一套全光纖連續光環形光纖雷射。另一方面,我們也架設了一紫 外光干涉儀,藉由紫外光所引起的光纖光折變現象,將可在光纖中產生光 柵。在光纖雷射的研製方面:首先架設波長為980nm 的鈦藍寶石雷射,作 為摻鉺光纖的激發光源。其次,將鈦藍寶石雷射的輸出耦合到環形光纖雷 射共振腔,當共振腔達到共振條件時便能產生雷射輸出。為減少共振腔中 的損耗,所有共振腔中的光學元件都是具光纖輸出入的積體元件,而光纖 間的接合也以熔接方式進行。以此環形全光纖架構,我們成功的使光纖雷 射產生波長為1.532um 的雷射輸出。在光纖光柵的研製方面:將氬離子雷 射以腔內倍頻的方法產生強度為 10mW的紫外光作為光纖光折變光源,紫 外光進入干涉儀中分成兩道光束並在光纖上產生干涉條紋,適當調整兩光 束的夾角可以在光纖中產生不同週期的光柵。 In the thesis we aimed at practical construction of a CW all- fiber fiber ring laser using the high gain material, an Er- doped fiber, as the laser gain media. Also, we have constructed an UV-interferometer system and tried to generate fiber gratings by means of UV-induced fiber photorefractivity. In the respect of fiber lasers, we have set up a 980-nm Ti: Sapphire laser as the pumping source of the Er-doped fiber laser when the 980-nm pumping light is coupled into the fiber laser ,the fiber ring resonator will oscillate as the round- trip gain exceeds the loss. In order to reduce the cavity loss, all the optical components used in the resonator are "in-line" type and are connected by splicing. We have successfully constructed a CW all-fiber fiber ring laser lasing at 1.532 um. In the respect of fiber gratings, an intra-cavity frequency doubled Argon ion laser is constructed. The power of generated UV is 10 mW. It can be used as the light source to write gratings in fibers. The UV light is launched into an interferometer to generate interference pattern on the fiber. The grating period can be controlled by simply adjusting the angle between the two interference beams.
